How Nova Nicaea Pioneers Contribute

Nova Nicaea Pioneers are our faith-driven volunteer community — people who bring heart, energy, and spiritual strength to the Pacifica vision. Whether here in Australia or preparing for missions to Tuvalu and Bougainville, every Pioneer plays a vital role in building a Christ-centred future for the Pacific.

We are committed to building free, Christian based cities in the Pacific that will help our brothers and sisters in Tuvalu and Bougainville, with opportunities for climate adaptation, economic development and sovereignty.

1. Prayer Support

Prayer is the foundation of our work. Volunteers can intercede for the people of the Pacific, for our mission teams, for wisdom in planning, and for God’s favour over every step of the Pacifica project. Faithful prayer partners sustain the mission even when they cannot be physically present.

2. Support Raising

Pioneers help expand the reach of the project by sharing the vision with churches, friends, and community groups. Through spreading awareness, organising small gatherings, or assisting with fundraising campaigns, volunteers help mobilise the resources needed to build Pacifica and support missions abroad.

3. Training & Preparation

Volunteers can contribute by attending or helping deliver training sessions on cross-cultural ministry, practical service skills, and equipping processes to strengthen the entire team and prepare future mission workers for effective service.

4. Sending Mission Teams

Some Pioneers serve in “sending roles”: coordinating logistics, helping with travel arrangements, and supporting those who feel called to go. Every Nova Nicaea Pioneer relies on a strong sending community behind them. 

5. Going Into the Field

For those who sense a direct call, mission trips to Tuvalu and Bougainville offer opportunities to serve on the ground. Volunteers may assist with community outreach, education, practical projects, ministry work, or relationship-building that strengthens local partnerships. These trips are the hands-on expression of the Pacifica mission.
